Bandsintown was started in Boston, MA back in 2007. Our goal was to make the discovery of local live music easier, through personalized recomendations and notifications. Today that remains our goal and we aim to be the definitive source for upcoming concert information and tickets, no matter the size of the artist or venue.
We also have a public API which allows anyone to access our concert and ticketing data, and an affiliate program which lets anyone using our API share revenue from concert tickets sold on their sites or applications.

Dr. Judith A. Neiswander, independent art historian, curator and consultant, has served as a decorative arts curator, exhibition organizer, historic preservation advocate, educator, researcher, editor and author on architecture, decorative arts, material culture and domestic life since 1988.
She has held curatorial positions at the Harvard University Art Museums, The Minneapolis Institute of Arts, and the Stained Glass Museum in Ely, England and taught the history of architecture and interior design at the University of Minnesota.
Her books include Mansions of Memory: The Art and Architecture of New Orleans’ Metairie Cemetery (in preparation), The Cosmopolitan Interior: Liberalism and the British Home, 1870-1914 (Yale University Press, 2008) and Stained and Art Glass (Intelligent Layman Publishers, London, 2006).
